GPU-Powered Windows 365 Cloud PCs with NVIDIA RTX Virtual Workstation for High-End Graphics Workloads
Professional workflows have become more complex with the increased demand for graphics-intensive scenarios. From regular office applications to demanding manufacturing, architectural, engineering, and media and entertainment applications, GPU-enabled Cloud PCs are enabling professionals to access those applications from anywhere and on any device from the cloud.
Windows 365 Cloud PCs are now available with NVIDIA RTX Virtual Workstation (vWS) enabling the support of NVIDIA RTX and vGPU technologies.

Getting more out of Windows 365 – Windows 365 Frontline

Protect your Cloud PC with Screenshot Protection and Watermarking
Dieter Kempeneers is a Windows and Devices MVP. He has written a great blog post about Screenshot Protection and Watermarking.
“One of the many use cases of Windows 365 is to provide access to corporate data from unmanaged devices. You offer a managed Cloud PC that they can access from anywhere This provides a solution to the lack of control over the software, updates, and anti-malware policies on the physical device itself. With Windows 365 you effectively separate the corporate environment from any unmanaged environment. But what if a bad actor is willingly or unwillingly taking screenshots of your Cloud PC?
Microsoft thought of that as well and they offer the possibility to configure both screen capture protection and watermarking.“

Windows 365 and Cross-Region Disaster Recovery
Dieter Kempeneers is a Windows and Devices MVP. And he has written another excellent blog post this week about Windows 365 and Cross-Region Disaster Recovery.
“Microsoft added a new option to Windows 365 to facilitate advanced Disaster Recovery (DR). Although disaster recovery and business continuity are already part of your Windows 365 license this new feature provides extra possibilities.“
“Cross-Region Disaster Recovery is available only with Windows 365 Enterprise and is a paid add-on to your current Windows 365 license. There is a good reason for this. When this feature is enabled, Windows 365 automatically takes snapshots of your Cloud PCs and provisions them in a location of your choosing. This means you are consuming additional resources in another region, at a cost of approximately $5 per Cloud PC, which is a reasonable price.“

Windows 365 Cross-region Disaster Recovery Generally Available

Microsoft Teams in Windows 365 and Azure Virtual Desktop
We are excited to announce the public preview of the new optimization architecture for Microsoft Teams on Azure Virtual Desktop and Windows 365 is now rolled out for all users. This new architecture is designed to close the feature gap between native Teams and Teams for Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI) by enhancing performance, providing auto updates, and streamlining support.

Improving security and productivity with Windows 11 Enterprise and Windows 365 Frontline
Carlsberg has already created a more employee-centric, well-secured, and efficient environment for its workforce, including 1,000 employees who use Windows 365 Frontline Cloud PCs to work productively from anywhere, on any device.
“For certain user groups, like external vendors and accounting teams, we provide Windows 365 to enable access to Cloud PCs so they can do their work without us having to intervene with their laptops,” says Giriiev.
In the past, Carlsberg used an alternative virtual desktop solution, but found it was overly complex. As a result, end user experiences could be less-than-ideal. And, because multiple vendors were involved in the solution, any issues required multiple support tickets. Embracing a single platform has helped simplify processes.
“In the past, we would hear from employees who were experiencing issues with their virtual desktops and it could take us hours to restore service! Today, it is so easy to spin up a Windows 365 Cloud PC and we have fewer complaints from end-users.” says Giriiev.
