Why would you use a Cloud PC?
Ola Ström has written a blogpost about why you should consider using Cloud PCs for your temporary workers.
“If you look at a consultant, they usually work for some kind of company which provides them with a computer which they take with them everywhere they go (I know I do). Since they already have a computer, why give them yet another one to fill their backpack with? Why not use a Cloud PC which they can access from a device of their choice, which you can configure in such a way that information cannot leave the Cloud PC.”

Windows 12 – Hosted off-device, is it Windows 365 in the future?
Roy Apalnes has written a piece discussing his thoughts on the future of Windows and how Windows 365 fits into that picture.
“By leveraging the performance from the local device, we will continue to need the local hardware. And as discussed earlier, there is a massive improved security benefit if we can allow personal use on the local desktop, and have our work done in a virtual desktop like Windows 365.”

How to share Cloud PC restore points
Dominiek Verham has written a blog post about how you can share restore points from Cloud PCs.
“In my last blog I wrote about the ability to create your own restore points. But did you know you can also copy that restore point to an Azure Storage Account? This allows for a couple of scenarios but the one that I liked the most is that you can download the .VHD so you can create a VM on your own device using the .VHD from the Cloud PC. Let’s find out how that works!”

Forester has released a report discussing the economic impact of Windows 365.
“Enterprises increasingly need a comprehensive digital workplace strategy to address the
future of work, increase engagement, drive productivity enhancements, and reduce
costs.1 Organizations that used Windows 365 to securely stream personalized desktops
across devices found that it enabled a variety of scenarios for the new world of hybrid
work while simplifying IT administration, improving productivity for a variety of end users,
and driving cost savings.“
