Strengthen business resilience with Windows 365 and Azure Virtual Desktop
This article covers how Microsoft improves organizational resilience through updates to Windows 365 and Azure Virtual Desktop services. It covers tools that reduce disruptions, enhance secure access, and support hybrid work for businesses operating in dynamic environments. Features include temporary Cloud PCs, app streaming without full desktops, and more robust disaster recovery for improved business continuity.
- Windows 365 Reserve gives users instant, secure access to a pre-configured Cloud PC when their primary device becomes unavailable. It reduces downtime, eliminates the need for physical loaner PCs, and simplifies IT management through Microsoft Intune integration. Users access pre-configured Reserve Cloud PCs – complete with Microsoft 365 apps and security policies – from any browser or the Windows App.
- Windows 365 Cloud Apps (private preview) allow organizations to offer secure app streaming without assigning full Cloud PCs to users. This simplifies app delivery for various roles, including remote and seasonal workers, easing management through integration with Microsoft Intune. It also helps organizations transition away from on-premises VDI systems by offering a flexible, cloud-based alternative for delivering applications.
