How to use ProfileUnity with PCs and Windows 365 Cloud PCs
This article is the third post in a series about using Liquidware ProfileUnity. Windows App to replace Remote Desktop app for Windows
The Remote Desktop app for Windows, available from the Microsoft Store, will no longer be supported starting May 27, 2025. Instead, users must transition to the new Windows App to access Windows 365, Azure Virtual Desktop, and Microsoft Dev Box. The Windows App offers several improvements, including unified access to multiple Windows services, customizable home screens, multimonitor support, dynamic display resolutions, enhanced remote work experiences, and easy account switching. Users must uninstall the Remote Desktop app and follow guides to transition to the new Windows App.
IT administrators are advised to prepare their organizations for this transition and update internal resources accordingly.
